Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) Celebrated with Religious Zeal and Fervour

ISLAMABAD: To commemorate the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and pay tribute to the great leader of humanity, Muslims across the world, including Pakistan are celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi with great religious zeal and fervor on Friday.

In Pakistan the day dawned with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in all provincial units whereas special prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country were offered in different mosques after the Fajr and Friday prayers.

Special conferences, events, and Mehfil-e-Milad were arranged to pay respect to the last messenger, whose life and teachings are a beacon of light for the whole of humanity.

Meanwhile, the buildings, offices, streets, roads, mosques, and houses were decorated with colourful and miniature. In Punjab including Lahore Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW), the roads and buildings were decorated with flowers and lights.

In Peshawar, the main procession was initiated from Milad Chowk today, passing through its traditional routes while reaching Qissa Khwani Bazaar. All the bazaars, streets, houses and markets in the city were decorated and illuminated with electric lamps and green lights to mark the day.

The Metropolitan city Karachi witnessed three major processions passing through different routes and paid huge tribute to the holy prophet. The celebrations were also held in other parts of Sindh.

Meanwhile, special events, Mehfil-Mi­laad, processions, and conferences were held in major and small cities of the country to pay deep respect to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) whose life and teachings are an inspiration for the Muslim Ummah.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi was also celebrated in Baluchistan with religious zeal and enthusiasm, whereas the main procession of the faithful was taken out from Saryab Road, passing through its conventional routes and reached at Jamiat Rai Road in Quetta city.

Various religious, political, and social organizations and educational institutions also organized various programs to become part of the celebrations.

Besides Eid Milad-un-Nabi was also celebrated with great zeal on both sides of the Line Of Control (LOC) with religious reverence.

Teachings of the Holy Prophet

Earlier in their special messages, President Dr. Arif Alvi and caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar urged the nation to obey the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) of brotherhood and compassion besides following his message of unity to become an example of tolerance and coexistence.

Later in the Friday sermons, religious scholars urged the nation to follow and obey the practice and teaching of the holy prophet and spread the message of peace, tolerance and truthfulness to make the world a better place for humanity.
