CAIRO: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will attend the 8th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean in Barcelona, Spain. This year talks will focus on the current developments in Gaza, Arab media reported.
Egypt’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid confirmed that the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee would meet in Barcelona for talks with the Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs Jose Manuel Albares.
Egypt’s FM is set to travel to New York on Tuesday to join other members of the committee in a briefing session held by the UNSC on the current situation in the Middle East.

This will call for an end to the war in the Gaza Strip, and ask the UNSC to assume its responsibility and duty to promote a comprehensive truce and end Israeli violations of global law. The committee is likely to make clear the significant Palestinian issues during its meetings in New York.

The Chinese presidency of the UNSC took the decision to hold the ministerial-level session to address the current developments in Gaza.
