TEL AVIV: In a significant revelation, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, disclosed on Wednesday that Egypt had alerted Israel about an impending Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, attack days before the attack.
Speaking to reporters after a classified briefing on the resistance group, Hamas, attacks against Israel, McCaul confirmed that Egyptian authorities had given a warning to Israel about the imminent threat.
“We know that Egypt had warned the Israelis three days prior that an event like this could happen,” McCaul stated, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. Although he couldn’t delve into classified details, McCaul reiterated that a clear warning had been issued by Egypt.
