CAIRO: Egypt on Monday condemned terrorist bombing at a political rally of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) in Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
Its foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday that Egypt renewed its firm stance toward its complete rejection of all forms of violence, stressing its solidarity with Pakistan in confronting terrorism and extremism, Arab News reported.
Egypt offers condolences
It said that Egypt, government and people, extend their sincere condolences and sympathies to the government and people of Pakistan in this painful time, and to the victims’ families, wishing a speedy recovery for all the wounded.
The suicide bombing at the rally killed at least 47 people and wounded more than 100.
Funerals were held for the victims of the attack on Monday, and the government has vowed to track down the perpetrators.
