ISLAMABAD: The Election Commision of Pakistan (ECP) announced on Tuesday that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain would remain the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
The ECP had reserved its decision in August last year after Shujaat approached the electoral body challenging the decision by Parvaiz Elahi’s group to remove him as party president.
Shujaat was removed as PML-Q president by Elahi Group in July
In July last year, Elahi and his supporters removed Shujaat and PML-Q’s General Secretary, Tariq Bashir Cheema, from the party’s top posts.
