ISLAMABAD: In order to raise awareness on global warming, a 10 km long Echothon (marathon) was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in collaboration with the UAE embassy in Pakistan.
A large number of diplomats, civil society representatives and citizens of all ages participated in the event.
Shiza Fatima Khawaja, Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, said, “We have a series of events to raise awareness on global warming to train our youngsters, and in this regard we are looking for some exchange programs with the UAE government.
Climate change, especially innovation in sustainable development, is what we are looking at.”
