ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved proposed amendments to relevant clauses of IPO-2022, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
The meeting, chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, also approved a technical supplementary grant of Rs. 299.997 million for the repair and maintenance of public buildings and a supplementary grant of Rs. 87.164 million for the Intelligence Bureau to pay taxes and duties.
The Ministry of Commerce submitted a summary on amendments to the Import Policy Order-2022 related to the import of live animals and animal products, in line with the revised conditions and guidelines of the World Organization of Animal Health (WOAH) on cattle trade.
ECC defers commerce ministry’s summary
However, a summary of the Ministry of Commerce regarding the amendment in IPO-2022 pertaining to used auto lube oil was deferred after discussion.
Similarly, a summary of the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication seeking approval of NTC’s budget for the financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23 was also deferred.
Several federal ministers, SAPMs, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
