NEW YORK: Reports from foreign news outlets, ‘TheWrap’ and ‘TMZ’, have surfaced, alleging a heated feud between Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds during the filming of the 2021 Netflix movie ‘Red Notice’.

The action-comedy, which also featured Gal Gadot, depicted the escapades of an FBI agent and an art thief entangled in a web of double-crosses. Despite its star-studded cast and substantial budget, the film faced criticism for its exaggerated action sequences.

Insiders revealed that tensions between Johnson and Reynolds escalated when Reynolds waited for five hours for Johnson, leading to a confrontational argument and Johnson reportedly storming off the set. While The Wrap described the incident as a “huge fight,” TMZ suggested it was not as dramatic, albeit acknowledging a discussion between the two actors.

‘Red Notice’, released on Netflix on November 12, 2021, garnered mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its performances and humor, but criticism directed at its plot and screenplay.

Despite the reported discord, ‘Red Notice’ has generated significant attention, resulting in the announcement of two sequels currently in development, expected to be filmed consecutively. The film’s success can be attributed to its star-studded ensemble, including Johnson, Reynolds, and Gadot, alongside its entertaining storyline.

Looking ahead, Dwayne Johnson has a slew of projects lined up, including the Christmas action movie ‘Red One’, co-starring Chris Evans, and a sequel to Disney’s animated hit ‘Moana’, where he will reprise his role as Maui.

Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds is set for a busy schedule with the third installment of the Deadpool franchise and John Krasinski’s directorial venture ‘Imaginary Friends’, among other projects. Reynolds will also return for the sequel to ‘Red Notice’, currently in production.
