ISLAMABAD: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority is set to start three new metro link bus routes in Dubai from 19 May.

The measure aimed to expand the reach of the local bus network and establish integration with other mass transit systems in the emirate, especially the metro.

Some improvements would also be brought on other routes from the same day.

The first is Bust Route 51, which would shuttle between Business Bay Metro Station and Al Khail Gate, at a frequency of twenty minutes during peak hours.

The 2nd is Route SH1, which would commute between Sobha Realty Metro Station and Dubai Mall Metro Station at a frequency of sixty minutes.

Role of bus routes

The 3rd is Route YM1, which would operate between Yiwu Market and UAE Exchange Metro Station, at a frequency of sixty minutes.

RTA is changing the path of Route F47 to terminate at the Dubai Investment Park Metro Station aimed to shorten the journey. The heading to Dubai Investments Park should use the current routes F51, F50, F50, F48, F48, and F46.

Route 50 would cut the journey time at the Business Bay Metro Station.
