Dry, Cold Weather to Prevail In next 24 Hours: Pakistan Meteorological Department

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast mainly dry and cold weather in most parts of the country.

However, foggy conditions will likely prevail over plain areas of Punjab during the night and morning hours. As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country.


Weather Foggy conditions

Due to fog and smog, the motorway police have issued a travel advisory for road-users to avoid unnecessary travel. Motorway police have advised the public to use fog lights while travelling, and there should be a reasonable distance from other vehicles.


Recorded temperatures

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met), a maximum of 7 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 10°C in Lahore, 13°C in Karachi, 7°C in Peshawar, 3°C in Quetta and 1°C in Gilgit.


Minimum recorded temperatures

Today’s Recorded Lowest Minimum Temperature (°C): Leh, Skardu -07, Ziarat -05, Gupis, Kalat -04, Gilgit, Astore, Hunza, Kalam -03, Shopian, Bagrote -02, Srinagar, Pulwama, Rawalakot, Anantnag and Baramulla -01.
