ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met) has said that mainly dry and cold weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, foggy conditions are likely in the plain districts of Punjab in the morning.
According to the Met Office, the intensity of coldness has increased nationwide. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, shallow foggy conditions are likely to prevail during morning hours.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country.
Weather in the last 24 hours
Dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while cold in northern areas during the last 24 hours.
Maximum Recorded Temperatures
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met), a maximum of 7 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 13°C in Lahore, 22°C in Karachi, 8°C in Peshawar, 4 °C in Quetta, and 0°C in Gilgit.
Minimum recorded temperatures
The Met Office recorded the lowest minimum temperature of -10 degrees Celsius in Leh,-5 C in Kalam,-4 C in Ziarat, Hunza, Skardu, and Astore -3 in Bagrote and Kalat -2, and -1 C in Malam Jaba and Shopian.
