ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Friday that cold and dry weather is expected in most areas of the South Asian country, while very cold in northern areas of Pakistan during the next 12 hours.
Partly cloudy weather with rain, thunderstorm and snowfall over hilly areas is likely at isolated areas in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), it added.
Morning temperatures in major cities are as follows: Islamabad at 7°C, Lahore at 13°C, Karachi at 19°C, Peshawar at 12°C, Quetta at 0°C, Gilgit at 6°C, Murree at 1°C, and Muzaffarabad at 8°C.
As per weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), partly cloudy and cold weather is likely in Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag, and Baramula.
Morning temperatures recorded are as follows: Srinagar, Shopian and Anantnag at 3°C, Jammu at 11°C, Leh at -10°C, and Pulwama and Baramulla at 2°C.
