ARBIL: Three drones on Tuesday attacked a military base at Arbil airport in Iraqi Kurdistan that hosts troops from the US-led international coalition.
According to local officials, the autonomous region’s anti-terrorism service reported that in the initial attack on the military base, two drones were successfully shot down.
A third drone subsequently crashed to the ground without causing an explosion. An anonymous official from the US Department of Defense stated that the attack resulted in “no casualties or damage to infrastructure, according to the latest reporting.”
