ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has cautioned the public against fraudulent messages impersonating courier services, in which users are asked to enter verification codes.
Do not share any codes received via SMS or messaging apps, as these may be used for unauthorised access, said a press release issued by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday.
Input codes
Legitimate courier companies do not require recipients to input codes for parcel delivery.
The PTA remains committed to protecting consumers from digital fraud and urges the public to verify the authenticity of such messages before responding, the statement said.
