ISLAMABAD: Former National Security Advisor (NSA) of Pakistan Moeed Yusuf has suggested Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to directly ring Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ask him, “Do you want mutual annihilation”.

Responding to a question by an Indian anchorperson Karan Thapar about the current crisis between Pakistan and India, Yusuf said, “My first advice to give him is to pick up the phone and get to Prime Minister Modi and ask him what’s the game plan. Are we looking at mutual annihilation? Are we looking [at] only chest thumping. Are we really looking at war in a nuclear environment? Understand what he wants.”

“Not to take the first step”

He said that second thing he will suggest, “Tell Prime Minister Modi again what do you want.”

He said, “The third thing will be, tell Prime Minister Modi I cannot control the sentiments of 250 million people who see through what India is being doing, who see through what is happening in Balochistan every day. So I would encourage you not to take the first step because if you do what comes after that will not be in anybody control in any nuclear environment”.

He said that he would suggest these three things to Pakistani prime minister to tell Prime Minister Modi.
