Pakistan District Government to Spend Rs600 m on Repair of Roads

MUZAFFARGARH: District administration will spend Rs 600 million on the repair and carpeting of three roads including Mahmood Kot, vegetable market, and Alipur roads.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samiullah Farooq said this while talking to media persons here on Wednesday. He said that development projects were being completed at a rapid pace. A particular focus is being done on the repair of dilapidated roads. The tender’s process has been completed for the carpeting and repair of Vegetable Market, Mehmood Kot, and Alipur road. The deputy commissioner further said that he would get Alipur dual carriageway approved soon as it was his passion.

He said that selling “Pattan” for four million rupees increased the district council’s revenue because, in the past, it had only been auctioned for five lac rupees.

Additionally, he stated that possibilities for the youth would be provided by restoring College Sports Ground. In addition to this, work was also being done to upgrade Faisal Stadium. The district administration would also give the locals Mehmood Kot Sports Ground as a gift. He ends by saying that this ground will soon host sporting events. — APP
