ISLAMABAD: Madyan town, cradled in the majestic Swat Valley is emerging as Pakistan’s newest tourist spot this season where the town is welcoming an influx of travellers to indulge in its mesmerizing natural beauty, rich cultural tapestry and warm hospitality of locals.

Madyan is offering an unforgettable experience, allowing visitors to unwind, rejuvenate, and connect with nature’s splendor, said a report aired by a private news channel. Madyan is a popular hill station located in the Swat district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is situated at a distance of about 55 kilometres (34 mi) from Mingora and it is a best tourist destination, said a local.

A tourist from Lahore said that they are absolutely thrilled to be here in Madyan, adding, the natural beauty of this place is simply breathtaking. She added that the people are so warm and welcoming, and the food is delicious. They feel like they have discovered a hidden gem. A local resident said that Madyan is their pride and joy. They are so happy to see tourists coming here and experiencing the beauty of their town. They are doing their best to ensure they have a comfortable and memorable stay.

A botanist from Islamabad, Dr Khan said that Madyan is a paradise for nature lovers, he said that the flora and fauna here is incredible. He added that he has been studying the local species and is amazed at the diversity.

Foreign tourists were also enjoying the breathtaking views of Madyan. One of the foreign tourists said that they were a bit sceptical about coming to Madyan at first, now they feel like they are home. She said that the locals have been so kind and hospitable. Emily said that they have made some wonderful friends here and they cannot wait to come back.

A local shopkeeper, Nadeem said that they are happy to share their culture and traditions with visitors. He said that Madyan has a rich history and heritage, and they are proud to showcase it to the world. A tourist from Dubia, Ahmed, said that he came to Madyan for a week but have fallen in love with this place. He added that the scenery is breathtaking, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere is peaceful. He added that he is planning to come back soon.

A local tour operator said that they are trying their best to promote sustainable tourism in Madyan. He said that they want to ensure that tourism benefits the local community and does not harm the environment. They are working hard to make Madyan a model for responsible tourism.
