RIYADH: The Diriyah Dates Festival has attracted a large number of visitors and exhibitors from across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the festival was organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in the Diriyah Governorate,
Visitors are coming to the festival to purchase different kinds of dates grown in Diriyah and enjoy various shopping, as well as entertainment activities. Exhibitors and visitors have lauded the event’s wide selection of high-quality dates available in the market, all produced in Diriyah.
The visitors have also highlighted the distinctive attractions at the festival, such as educational exhibitions, palm tree exhibitions, showcases of Saudi dates, a children’s theatre, and displays of handicrafts from local families working in the cottage industry.
The event aims to boost economic activity in Diriyah, rise date sales, assist farmers access new markets, encourage the community to support domestic date production and create a top-notch market for buyers and sellers, benefiting consumers and farmers.
