Dialogue Only Way to Solve Problems: Yusuf Raza Gilani

KARACHI: Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that dialogue is the only way to solve the problems.

He expressed these views during his visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the Father of the Nation on Wednesday.

He laid a floral wreath and offered fateha. The Senate Chairman also recorded his impressions in the visitors’ book placed at the mausoleum. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also accompanied him.

Speaking to the media, he said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a true and genuine leader of the Sub-Continent.

Gilani said that for the first time, he visited the basement of the Mazar of Quaid Azam and offered Fateha at the Mazars of Quaid e Azam, Mohtrama Fatima Jinnah, Nawab Liaquat Ali Khan, Noorul Amin and all our forefathers buried here.

Yusuf Raza Gilani Stresses Youth’s Important Role

He said that Pakistan is confronted with so many problems but we are lucky enough that 65 percent youth consisting the total population of the country. Youth will play an important role and they would be the future leaders.

He said that though his party was not part of the government but they were extending their full support to the government for the resolution of problems being faced by the nation.

Replying to a query regarding dialogue with the opposition, Gilani said that dialogue was the only way to solve problems but the previous government was against dialogue which was their gross mistake. He said that despite the “judicial murder” of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto never left the path of negotiation and faced the situation by upholding the rule of law.
