FAISALABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday, stating that dialogue should only be conducted with politicians. Speaking at a political rally in Faisalabad, Sanaullah took a swipe at Khan, questioning the need for negotiations with him.

Sanaullah said, “Now Imran Khan is talking about negotiation. What should be negotiated with Imran? He did not even openly condemn the events that transpired on May 9. The young voters who voted for Imran Khan made a huge mistake.”

Accusing Khan of plotting incidents, Sanaullah claimed, “He planned, and the PTI members were discussing whether to attack the house of a well-known PTI worker or kill one or two people, and then lay blame on us.”

Sanaullah further alleged that there were discussions about staging a “rape drama” to provoke emotions among the public. He claimed that one of the intelligence agencies informed him about the plan, prompting him to address the nation immediately.

Referring to Indian spy Kulbhushan Sudhir Yadav, Sanaullah equated those who attacked military installations with the guilt of Jadhav.

Imran Khan Criticizes Rana Sanaullah

Responding to Sanaullah’s statements, Imran Khan criticized the interior minister for attempting to “terrorize the nation” by revealing a fabricated plot against women to divert attention from upcoming media revelations.

In a tweet, Khan shared a clip from Sanaullah’s press conference in which he mentioned intercepting a phone call discussing an alleged plot to stage a rape and blame law enforcement officials for the crime.
