Deputy PM Highlights Pakistan’s Commitment to Commonwealth Goals

APIA: Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar participated in the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting (CFAMM) on Thursday, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among Commonwealth nations to build resilient societies capable of adapting to global challenges.

The meeting convened foreign ministers from across the Commonwealth in preparation for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), allowing for discussions on pressing issues facing member states.

In his address, the Deputy Prime Minister shared Pakistan’s perspective on several critical agenda items, including the need for resilient communities, strong democratic institutions, robust economies, and environmental sustainability. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening democratic governance, fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth, and addressing the urgent challenges of climate change.

Additionally, he expressed Pakistan’s full support for the Commonwealth and its dedication to collaborating with member countries to develop effective solutions to shared challenges.
