LAHORE: Dense Fog continued to cover the plain areas of Punjab including Lahore on night between Tuesday and Wednesday, disrupting routine life and road traffic on all major highways and motorways.
The thick fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in many cities in the eastern province. According to a Motorway spokesperson, the Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Sarwar, Motorway M5 from Shershah to Uch Sharif, Lahore-Multan Motorway M3 from Faizpur to Samundri and Motorway M11 from Lahore to Sialkot have been closed for all kind of traffic.
The Motorway police have asked the drivers to use Grand Trunk (GT) Road for commuting. They have also appealed the drivers to drive slowly and use fog lights.
The Motorway police have also asked the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling. Thick fog has also disrupted traffic at several places in Punjab due to low visibility.
