ISLAMABAD/COPENHAGEN: Prime minister Mette Frederiksen said Denmark would finally have a new government six weeks after inconclusive elections with a left-right alliance forged after tortuous negotiations on Wednesday.
She said that the Frederiksen left wing told reporters that the political alliance was what Denmark needed following a narrow election victory for her Social Democrats in the elections on November 1. Frederiksen said that the new govt team will be announced today, including the Social Democrats, the Moderates, and the Liberals.

Frederiksen spoke to the press after informing Queen Margrethe of the alliance. She said the newly elected government would have many compromises from the other political parties but, above all, a lot of aspirations.
New government
The monarch assigned her with trying to form a new government in Denmark in November after individually meeting the leaders of Denmark’s eleven other political parties in the parliament. We have in totally new and unchartered territory.

While the Frederiksen Govt was largely hailed for handling the Covid-19 disease, the November new election was triggered by the country’s so-called mink crisis.
