GAZA: The Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir al-Balah reported on Thursday that the death toll from an Israeli air strike on a UN school has tragically risen to 37. This figure represents a devastating increase from the initial report provided by the Hamas media office, which had stated 27 fatalities.
According to the Israeli military, the strike was targeted at a “Hamas compound embedded inside a UNRWA school in the area of Nuseirat.” The UNRWA, or United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, provides essential support to Palestinian refugees in the region.
This escalation in casualties underscores the severity of the situation in Gaza and raises urgent concerns about the protection of civilians, particularly in areas where vital humanitarian facilities are located.
