KYIV, Ukraine: The death toll from a Russian missile strike on Ukraine’s Odesa region has risen to seven, with 10 others wounded, following an attack on Wednesday targeting port infrastructure.

According to Oleg Kiper, the region’s governor, the missile struck a civilian container ship flying Panama’s flag. The latest casualty was a 46-year-old port worker who succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

This was the third attack on civilian vessels in four days, part of Russia’s broader campaign against Ukraine’s Black Sea ports. These repeated strikes aim to undermine Ukraine’s export capabilities, especially its grain, which has been crucial to global markets before the Russian invasion.
