BEIJING: The death toll from flash floods in northern China’s Hebei province has risen to 29, AFP reported on Friday.
According to reports 29 people have died in Hebei Province, of which six were previously missing while 16 people are missing overall.

The rains and floods have also caused heavy damage and authorities are making efforts to counter the natural calamity and end the suffering of the people.
Earlier, China’s Ministry of Emergency Management said natural disasters had affected nearly 16 million people with 147 deaths in July alone.
During the same month, 703,000 people were urgently relocated due to the natural disaster.
4,300 houses collapsed while 8,400 were severely damaged due to heavy floods.
