PESHAWAR: The death toll from a suicide bombing in Khar, Bajaur has risen to at least fifty-four, while at least 90 other people were wounded in the attack.
Hundreds of supporters of the Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) political party were gathered on Sunday in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when the explosion occurred.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but police said initial probe suggested that a regional affiliate of Daesh could have been responsible for the attack.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) additional inspector general Shaukat Abbas said that 54 people were killed in the suicide explosion in Bajaur. Approximately ten to twelve kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.

Bajaur police spokesman Muhammad Israr said at least ninety people were wounded in the explosion.
