Agnes Callamard wrote that the suspension of funding to the UN agency, in a context where shocking signs of genocide exist, risks significantly worsening if not contributing to the harms which the Genocide Convention seeks to prevent.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health said that the number of Palestinian people killed in Israel’s war on Gaza is about 30,000 with 76 people killed between Tuesday noon and Wednesday morning bringing the death toll to 29,954.
