ISLAMABAD: The 25th death anniversary of the legendary actor Agha Talish is being observed on Monday.
He was born in 1926 in Ludhiana, India. His real name was Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash, and he made his cinema debut in 1947 with the Indian film ‘Saraey Key Baher’. Later, after partition, he moved to Pakistan and here his first movie was ‘Jheel Kinarey’.
He inspired his fans in various movies, including Zeenat, Umrao Jaan, Saat Lakh, Qaidi, Baghawat, Aulad, Farangi, Jheel Kinaray, Mela, Ye Aman, and many others.
The versatile actor pocketed huge success through his character in the movies Zeenat and Umrao Jan Ada. Talish worked in over 450 films, and he breathed his last in Lahore on February 19, 1998. —APP
