LOWER DIR: Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Lower Dir Muhammad Fawad Monday issued an order imposing Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr. P.C.), prohibiting all public gatherings and assemblies of more than five persons within the jurisdiction of District Dir Lower for five days.
The issued notification stated that the imposition of Section 144 was necessary to ensure the preservation of law and order in District Dir Lower and to preempt any potential incidents related to terrorist or militant activities.
The notification also cautioned that individuals violating this order would face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (P.P.C.). —APP
