Dar, Qatari Ambassador Discuss $3Bn Investment in Pakistan

Islamabad: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Qatari Ambassador Sheikh Sauod bin Abdulrahman bin Faisal Al-Thani on Tuesday discussed Qatar Investment Authority’s plans to invest $3 billion in various commercial and investment sectors in Pakistan.

Qatar’s ambassador to Pakistan Sheikh Sauod bin Abdulrahman bin Faisal Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar called on Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Finance Division.

The finance minister shared present governments efforts to facilitate investors in Pakistan. He also apprised about the available lucrative investment opportunities in various sectors of Pakistan. Speaking at the occasion, Sheikh Sauod bin Abdulrahman bin Faisal Al-Thani reciprocated the warm and welcoming sentiments with the Finance Minister and shared the intention of Qatar government for investment in various sectors of Pakistan, especially in energy, trade and businesses.

Finance Minister Dar while welcoming the investment proposals, assured the Ambassador of his all-out full support and cooperation.
