ISLAMABAD: At the culinary contest Bocuse d’Or first global event held at Salon International de la Restauration (SIRHA) in Lyon, France, a Danish team won the competition. The same team had earlier won the European final of the event. Norway and Hungary emerged second and third respectively.

Theme of culinary contest was importance of food in children’s health
In a first, the organizers of Bocuse d’Or the tournament used importance of food in children’s heath as the focal theme. The competing chefs had been asked to pumpkin in the center and into their main dish, they were asked to, incorporate an egg.

The main item of the dish was monkfish that was complemented by scallop and in the garnish only vegetable products were allowed.
In the event a total of twenty-four countries participated.
In the European edition of the competition, that was held in March 2022, Denmark came first, Hungary came second while Norway came third.
