Dal Sandwich Recipe

ISLAMABAD: A dal sandwich can turn your breakfast into a delicious meal when prepared the right way. This recipe makes use of leftover dal from last night’s dinner.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup finely chopped tomato

1/2 cup cucumber, diced

1/2 cup grated cheese

1/2 tbsp chilli flakes

1 tsp oregano

1 tbsp butter

Leftover dal

2-4 slices of bread

Instructions:

Spread a layer of dal on one slice of bread.

Layer the chopped veggies on top.

Add a slice of cheese and sprinkle with the seasonings.

Cover with another slice of bread.

In a pan, melt some butter and place the sandwich in it. Cook until it’s golden brown.

Remove from the pan, and your protein-packed dal sandwich is ready to enjoy.
