Cultural, Folk Night Enthralls Audience in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:  Mausikaar, a music organization working to preserve traditional music and the welfare of the artists in Pakistan, arranged a Cultural and Folk Night on Wednesday to amuse the fun lovers of the twin cities.

The event showcased sufi and cultural dances by a dance group that performed folk dances of all four provinces and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and ended with Dhamaal instrumental performances, including Flute and Rubab representing all provinces of the country.

Students from Quaid e Azam University Islamabad presented the folk culture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Cultural event to engage youth in healthy activities

The organizers said that the cultural event aimed to engage the youth in healthy activities and boost their talent.

Mausikaar was established in 2007 to preserve and promote traditional music of the country; and to work for the welfare of the artists. It organizes concerts with renowned artists and relatively unknown performers to promote them. Mausikaar aimed to help the artists and bring them into the spotlight.
