The Counter Terrorism Department on Saturday also said that it killed four suspected terrorists during an operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The CTD claimed that the terrorists were involved in targeted killings, bomb blasts and attacks on security forces.
According to the CTD, the operation was conducted near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on a tip-off about the presence of the terrorists.
During a search, security forces recovered weapons and explosives including two hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs, automatic rifles, six ammunition magazines, two pistols and a dozen cartridges from the terrorists’ hideout.
