CTD Nabs Four Terrorists in D.I.Khan, KP

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested four terrorists of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.

CTD said in a statement that it conducted a successful operation at the entrance of Abaa Shaheed on Dera to Maddi Road and arrested four terrorists after an exchange of fire.

The arrested terrorists, Qismat Ullah, Manan, Rehman, and Ameer Muhammad, belonged to the TTP-Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud outfit.

CTD personnel also recovered arms, ammunition, and explosives from them.

CTD operations

On Saturday, CTD conducted operations in Punjab, where it arrested eight suspected terrorists and seized explosive material, hand grenades, and literature from them.

Akhtar Nawaz, a terrorist belonging to TTP, and Muhammad Usman, allegedly affiliated with Daesh, were arrested in Lahore.

Four militants were arrested in Gujranwala, one in Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. The arrested militants included Fawadullah, Asif Nawaz, Ziaur Rehman, Atique Ahmad, Faqir Muhammad, and Bashir.

Over the past week, CTD conducted 402 combing operations in Punjab province. Twenty-two thousand nine hundred twenty-one suspects were interrogated during the operations, and 118 were arrested after registering eight-nine FIRs.
