RIYADH: Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal helped Al-Nassr to a 4-0 victory over Al-Raed, keeping their slim hopes of winning the Saudi Pro League title alive.
The win leaves Al-Nassr in second place in the league, three points behind Al-Ittihad, with five matches remaining this season.
Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in January on a contract worth over €200 million, had gone four games without scoring before finding the net in the fourth minute with a trademark-headed goal.
He also contributed to Abdul Rahman Gharib’s second goal with another header but was denied a penalty in the second half.

Ronaldo’s 12th league goal of the season puts him six goals behind the joint leading scorers Odion Ighalo and Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah.
Despite recent setbacks, Al-Nassr is still in the running for the league title, and Ronaldo’s goal may give the team the boost they need to secure silverware this season.
