CHENNAI, India: Bangladesh was 93 for 4 at the end of the 20th over in the World Cup match against New Zealand at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai today (Friday).
New Zealand won the toss and opt to bowl.
Liton Dass and Tanzid Hasan opened for Bangladesh but the Liton Dass was sent back to pavilion when Matt Henry made no mistake in catching the ball off the bowling of Trent Boult. Liton scored a single run and was followed soon by Tanzid who scored 16. Tanzid was caught of the bowling off Lockie Ferguson by Conway. Lockie at the end of 20 overs has sent two of the Bangladeshi batmen back to pavilion returning the figures of four overs giving only 12 runs.
Lockie also sent Mehdi Hasan Mirza who contributed with 30 runs and appeared settling down on the pitch. Najmul Hossain Shanto was next to join the group in the pavilion after scoring 7. Currently
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan is at crease with 17 and Mushfiqur Rahim is batting at 33.
