LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Monday announced the 12-men squad for the second cricket Test match against Australia with Sarfaraz Ahmed replaced as wicketkeeper by Mohammad Rizwan.

The five-day Boxing Day Test will begin on December 26 (tomorrow) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The PCB, however, said that the playing XI will be named tomorrow. Test captain Shan Masood said Rizwan’s record was looking very good in this condition and considering that, he has been selected for the playing XI.

The 34-year-old skipper said that “dropping” was not an appropriate word to use in Sarfaraz case as he has been given some rest. He said the Green Shirts will have to improve their batting, adding that the batters will have to play a bit fast as the side is playing 100 overs.

Meanwhile, Australia has named an unchanged XI for the Boxing Day Test.
