ISLAMABAD: Covid-19 claimed another life in Pakistan on Monday.

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), after the new casualty, the death toll jumped to 30,639 in the country since the breakout of the pandemic. The NIH said that the infections have risen to 1,575,969 after new 17 covid cases surfaced

During the last 24 hours, 3,399 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan, whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.50 %. The number of patients in critical care stood at 20 across the country.

Life limps back to normalcy

Life limped back to normalcy after Pakistan lifted Covid-related cubs last year after the country with a population of over 222 million people witnessed a sharp decrease in cases. Earlier, Pakistan enforced strict Covid measures across the country after a surge in pandemic cases that played havoc with its fragile economy and weak healthcare system.
