LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) released Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab president Dr. Yasmin Rashid from the Jinnah House attack case on Saturday.
Yasmin Rashid’s request for Physical remand
In its detailed verdict, the court denied Ms. Rashid’s request for physical remand in a case filed against her at the Sarwar Road police station. In addition, the judge ordered her release if she had not been arrested in any other case.
According to the verdict, no evidence was found against Ms. Rashid. Previously, the ATC had prolonged Dr. Yasmin Rashid’s physical remand to jail by two days in the May 9 vandalism case.
The court denied the police’s request for the physical remand of Ms. Rashid and instead sent her to jail on judicial remand.
