ISLAMABAD: A Session Court has issued order to arrest of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur in the case involving charges of possessing arms and alcohol, local media reported.
Rejecting the Chief Minister’s request for exemption from court appearance on medical grounds in the case, the court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for him. The Court has also directed the SHO Bara Kahu police station to arrest and produce the PTI leader in court by Wednesday.
The case dates back to October 30, 2016, when Gandapur was allegedly involved in an illegal gathering and also violated the orders of the local administration. The court is also seeking clarification on various key points, including the Chief Minister’s presence at the scene and his acts during the incident.
