ISLAMABAD: An Additional District and sessions judge of Islamabad on Friday once again deferred the indictment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Advisor to the PM, Dr Shahbaz Gill’s in the sedition case.

Additional Sessions Judge, Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case as prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi and Shahbaz Gill’s lawyer Burhan Moazzam appeared before the court. Shahbaz Gill’s lawyer apprised the court that his client was sick and couldn’t attend the proceedings.

To this, the Judge directed the lawyer to ensure Shahbaz Gill’s online presence in the case. “The court cannot grant Gill exemption from personal appearance till his indictment,” the Judge remarked. Gill’s lawyer Burhan Moazzam told the court that Shahbaz Gill wanted to defend himself before the court.
