ISLAMABAD: As the holy festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is just around the corner, women of all ages want beautiful and unique henna designs on their hands ahead of the festivities.
Applying henna on their palms and feet before the festivities is a tradition among Muslim women. Muslim women around the globe apply henna to perk up the celebrations.
With one or two days left to Eid-ul-Fitr, every market and mall in Islamabad has also set up special henna application stalls, where expert henna artists are applying beautiful henna designs to customers’ demand and wish.
Eid is considered incomplete in Pakistani culture, without bangles and henna for girls.
“Every year, beauty salons release new and distinctive henna patterns since every lady wants to have a fresh, new design on her hands. Some visitors come with designs, they have selected from online websites and want us to copy the same on their hands,” a stall holder in Centaurus Mall Tayabah said.
According to female citizens, mehndi is a kind of art that has always been associated with fashion; despite the fact that trends come and go, mehndi has remained popular.
A visitor with henna on her hands, told WE News, “I am so excited as the artist has made a beautiful design on my palm as I wanted it to be. I left it to the artist’s will to make a design, and I am happy she didn’t disappoint me.”
She said that the rates were also very nominal as they are charging 1000 rupees per design. Tayabah said that she was setting up a henna stall at the Centaurus Mall for the last three years and the response is always up to the mark.
