Coronavirus Claims Another Life in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus on Wednesday claimed another life in Pakistan, whereas 53 more Covid-19 infected patients are in critical condition.

The daily data of the National Institute of Health (NIH) revealed that as many as 38 new cases of coronavirus had been reported during the last 24 hours. A total of 6033 tests were conducted nationwide. The ratio of positive cases is 0.63 percent in Pakistan.

The NIH said that the highest number of 17 positive coronavirus cases had been reported in Lahore during the last 24 hours, adding that the overall positive ratio of coronavirus in Karachi remained at 1.87 percent.

The 747 coronavirus tests were conducted in Karachi during the last 24 hours.

The NIH said Abbottabad reported the second-highest number of 03 positive coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours. The ratio of coronavirus-positive cases remained at 1.40 percent in Abbottabad.

According to the NIH, 215 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Abbottabad during the last 24 hours.

It said that the rate of positive coronavirus cases in Islamabad had reached 0.55 percent, with four new cases reported during the last 24 hours.
