PESHAWAR: A police personnel has embraced martyrdom, and two others have been wounded when terrorists opened fire at a police vehicle in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, local media reported.
Cop Martyred in Terrorist Attack in Northwest Pakistan
According to local media, the incident took place at the Afridi Road in Badaber area of the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where terrorists attacked a police van, injuring ASI Fareed Khan, Constable Yar Muhammad, and Constable Ghulam Hussain.
The wounded police personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital, where Yar Muhammad succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment.
A large number of police officers, along with a heavy contingent of police, rushed to the site after the terrorist assault and cordoned off the entire area. Police have started a search operation in the area to arrest the offenders behind the terrorist attack.
