ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the Senate, Irfan Siddiqui, announced on Thursday that significant progress has been made on the proposed constitutional amendments package, which will be presented in the upper house of the Parliament on Friday.
After attending a special committee meeting on constitutional reforms, Siddiqui told the media that the committee is currently finalizing the draft of the amendments, with only a few finishing touches remaining.
Senator Sherry Rehman from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) noted that both Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and the PPP have reached an agreement on the amendments, although a meeting with PTI and JUI-F leadership is scheduled for later.
