ISLAMABAD: An important grand jirga was held headed by local brigade commander in the Shahi Bala (Sakhi Pull) locality of Peshawar, in northwest Pakistan, to review security-related matters.
The honourable tribal elders belonging to Reggi and Nasir Bagh, civil administration representatives, and high-ranking police officers participated in the grand jirga.
The objective of holding the jirga was to review security-related concerns, chalk out a clear strategy and plan of action for the future, and to promote cooperation from the locals in an effective manner.
Complete support
The participants of the grand jirga lauded the vital role being played by the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and paid their respects to those who have laid down their lives in defence of the country. The participants also promised complete cooperation and announced complete support for the armed forces of Pakistan.
The armed forces have vowed to fight terrorism till the objective of ensuring peace is achieved.
