Cold Weather Will Persist in Next 24 Hours

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday said that the weather will remain cold throughout the country during the next 24 hours.

The Met Office also said that most part of the country will remain in the grip of fog during the next 24 hours.

Maximum Temperature

According to the Met Office, a maximum of 10 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 13°C in Lahore, 22°C in Karachi, 7°C in Peshawar, 6 °C in Quetta, and 4°C in Gilgit.

 Winter Delights

 The demand for traditional winter delights has gone up with the arrival of the winter. People have started thronging the market to enjoy soup, yakhni, gajar ka halva, coffee and Kashmiri Chai to keep themselves warm.

 Vendors have also set up temporary stalls to sell winter food items including soap, yakhni and eggs. The demand for fish has also increased with people setting up stalls along sidewalks and roadsides.

 Families frequent these outlets to quench their thrust and satiate their crave.

Lowest Temperature

According to the Met Office, the lowest minimum temperatures of -9 C was recorded in Leh, 4 C in Ziarat and Kalam, -2 in Kalat , -1 in Hunza and Skardu and 00 in Rawalakot and Astore
