Cold Weather to Prevail as Winter Knocks on the Door

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country, while foggy conditions are likely to develop during morning hours over plain districts of Punjab.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country.

As per the meteorological department, the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy on Friday in most parts of the country. However, in the last 24 hours, it has been cold in northern areas, and the country saw cold weather.

Recorded temperatures

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met), a maximum of 8 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 12°C in Lahore, 19°C in Karachi, 7.5°C in Peshawar, 1.5 °C in Quetta, and -0.5°C in Gilgit.
